I'm Sadaf, I'm a psychologist by profession. My qualifications are Masters in clinical psychology, and I've been practicing as a therapist since 2015. I've done certificate courses in arts based therapy, queer affirmative counseling practice and couple and family therapy. In terms of clients concerns, I've worked with anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, thought related issues, OCD, habit change, relationship concerns and trauma/abuse. I work with children as well as teens, along with adults. My approach is a mixture of post modern approaches, evidence based therapies and depth psychology. I would describe myself as a curious person. I love to envision a world where we are all respected and cared for, with our unique traits and struggles. I also happen to be from a conservative Muslim family and have experienced patriarchal pressures firsthand. I hope that this makes me the right person to understand the ground realities of a lot of people. Lastly, I have helped a lot of clients deal with a range of mental health issues and the environmental contributors of those. Thus, I envision a world of socially just mental healthcare and this is my attempt to make the field ethical and accessible for all.

I believe that symptoms are a representation of the suffering and not anything to cure. As much as oppressive systems exists so is the personal and private experience of these systems. These experiences play in our relationships hence I believe the potential itself lies in relationship as therapist and client to bring corrective experiences, build tolerance make unbearable, bearable and build self by building bridge with self as a whole. This I believe helps in developing a space where one can be aware of choice and agency while experiencing different structures as well as engaging in the wideness of self.
As a therapist I am curious about what is unspoken, denied, unseen, implicit but present and the internal and external experiences of psyche.
He is also the co creator of Queer Affirmative Counselling Practices Resources Manual (QACP).
